Youth Provision

Are you aged 11-25? Then we’ve got a whole load of activities and services for you to get involved in!

Youth Clubs

At the youth clubs we offer anything from personal and professional development workshops to accreditation opportunites:

  • First Aid
  • ASDAN
  • Food Hygiene
  • Duke Of Edinburgh Award

We also offer lots of educational workshops to help you with many different aspects of life & keeping safe:

  • Self-Image
  • Confidence
  • Drugs and Alcohol
  • Sexual Health
  • Smoking Awareness
  • Teenage Pregnancy
  • Sexual Exploitation
  • Bullying
  • … and many more!

The clubs also have many social and recreational activities on offer such as PS3, XBox360 and Wii gaming, Pool, team games, multi-sports, arts and crafts etc.

Street Side

  • Detached Youth Work is targeted at vulnerable & excluded young people, who may not receive support from main youth services.
  • It takes place your own territory such as streets, cafés, parks, outside shops etc. – at times that are appropriate to them and on their terms.
  • It begins with values, attitudes, issues and ambitions and is concerned with their personal and social development.

Malthouse Activity Centre

The Malthouse Outdoor Activity Centre in Tipton hosts a selection of fun, developmental opportunities for young people aged 8 – 25 years.

Qualified staff arrange activities including:

  • Mountain biking,
  • Archery,
  • Canoeing,
  • Raft building,
  • Team building games and climbing,
  • Catering for varying group sizes (minimum 6).

The centre also provides activities with an emphasis on environmental issues.

Youth Arts at Coneygre

At Coneygre we have lots going on:

  • A variety of music sessions and clubs run by youth workers, freelance artists and young artists. Sessions cover many aspects ranging from instrument tuition, performing, lyric writing, sound and light technology etc.
  • We offer training routes for young people to progress from participation through volunteering and on to delivering workshops themselves.

Youth Bus

The Sandwell Youth Bus visits areas that may not have any youth provision or areas may be suffering from anti-social behaviour. Youth Workers can then develop programmes and projects with the young people to address their needs / issues.

Media Bus

The new Media Bus offers an alternative to the double decker bus. This bus is mainly delivering educational and life skills programmes.

  • The open sessions offer fun activities, computers, workshops providing specialist support for young people interested in undertaking their CV’s, job applications, career advice and engagement in positive activities.
  • It also provides open access fun, training and specialist workshops in staying healthy, safe, drugs awareness or any issues affecting them.
  • The youth bus also provides outreach library service and attends community events.
