The new Youth Media Bus offers an alternative to the double decker Sandwell
Youth Bus. This bus is mainly for delivering Educational and Life Skills Programmes.

The open sessions on the bus offer fun activities, computers, workshops providing specialist support for young people interested in undertaking their CV’s, job applications, career advice and engagement in positive activities.  We have also recently added a Playstation 4 with Virtual Reality Headset and an Xbox One.

The youth bus will provide open access fun, training and specialist workshops in social media, film making, staying healthy, safe, drugs awareness or any issues affecting young people. The new Youth Media Bus will be supporting Young People’s Service’s other offers of Detached, Centre based, Arts and Outdoor Activities as well as attending Community events around Sandwell.

The youth bus will provide open access fun, training and specialist workshops in social media, film making, staying healthy, safe, drugs awareness or any issues affecting young people. The new Youth Media Bus will be supporting Young People’s Service’s other offers of Detached, Centre based, Arts and Outdoor Activities as well as specialist events within the Borough.

The Youth Media Bus will play an instrumental role in our contribution with other partners to attract, engage young people and undertake specific creative and social, life and educational programmes.

The bus will also continue to support events giving local agencies and service providers the chance to showcase/advertise their services. This will give parents, young people and other members of the community opportunity to talk to agencies face to face and familiarise themselves with what services are currently available locally.

The Youth Media Bus is an important resource and tool to get young people engaged. The bus will be supported by Youth Workers who can utilise their expertise and skills to engage, build rapport and develop programmes and projects with the young people to meet their needs and issues.

The bus can facilitate and organise specialist workshops to get young people to contribute their vision for their own areas and local community.
