SHAPE Youth Festival and the Blind Dave Colour Run

Saturday 22 July – 11am – 5pm – Sandwell Valley Country Park

This year the SHAPE Programme have teamed up with Albion Foundation to deliver a fantastic festival featuring a 5k colour run to honour the sensational Blind Dave Heeley who is running a number of marathons this year in aid of the Albion Foundation.

A unique colour race that celebrates healthiness, happiness, individuality and giving back to the community. Join us with Black Country legend ‘Dave Heeley’ for a great fun day out for all the family.

This event takes place in pleasant parkland surroundings and we encourage people of every ability to take part; from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians; from juniors to those with more experience; we welcome you all, You can walk, crawl, skip or run and wear silly costumes while following the scenic and safe 5K route.

The Colour FUN Run is a five-kilometre, un-timed race in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colours along the route.

This will be a great day for the entire family to get involved in so make it a day out and have friends and families come along for a picnic and to cheer you on along the way.

The Albion players Jake Livermore and Boaz Myhill have been helping to promote the event.
