Powerful message from young people in Sandwell

Young people and youth workers from Sandwell Council have made a video to encourage people to stay at home.

The SHAPE Youth Forum, made up of young people who work or study in Sandwell, have been having virtual meetings since the government introduced guidelines in March.

Forum members wanted to make a video for other young people in Sandwell to get the message across about staying at home.

The video is available on YouTube:

Cabinet member for best start in life, Councillor Joyce Underhill, said: “This is a strong message from our young people and youth workers.

“With lockdown rules being extended for the next few weeks, it’s more important than ever that people stay at home and stay safe.

“Everyone in this video filmed themselves at home. Be like these young people and stay home.”
