The annual child’s voice conference took place on Monday 30th November at Bethel Convention Centre in Oldbury. Nearly 100 children and young people attended from Primary, Secondary schools and Pupil referral units for a daytime conference.
The day was filled with interactive workshops led by experienced facilitators on each of the following topics:
As well as workshops there was an interactive marketplace showcasing what services Sandwell has to offer for children and young people.
The day raised lots of awareness on the topics above as well as capturing the views of children and young people who attended.
As well as a daytime conference, we listened to young people who requested an evening event be held for them. 50 young people over 16 attended from across the Borough including members of Youth Parliament, Looked After Children’s Board and Youth Clubs.
