Sandwell’s Hidden Treasures is open to all amateur artists, schools and community groups wanting to submit a themed piece of work to feature in our summer arts trail.
Art work will be shortlisted to a collection of pieces which will be exhibited across the borough, allowing members of the public to vote for the best piece of art work.
The theme for this year’s arts trail is The Hidden Treasures of Sandwell. We are looking for your favourite building, open space, visitor attraction, walk, and view of Sandwell. The artist can use any of the following mediums:
Accepted art works must be two-dimensional. If a piece is selected each art work must be framed and mirror plated and can be no larger than 61cm (24″) by 46cm (18″).
Each entry must be original in concept and design, and in the original medium (not a scanned reproduction of a painting or drawing).
Once you have completed your piece of art work, you will need to send a photograph of the piece to the Arts Officer alex_howell@sandwell.gov.uk by no later than Thursday 31st May 2018.
All submissions will then be viewed and judged. If your artwork is shortlisted you will need to deliver it to Wednesbury Museum and Art Gallery, where it will be entered into the trail.
