The strategy focuses on three key areas, which are to:

  • safeguard and support those most at risk of radicalisation through early intervention, identifying them and offering support
  • enable those who have already engaged in terrorism to disengage and rehabilitate
PREVENT are also running a workshop sessions about Identity & Tolerance workshop for those aged 11+

A highly interactive session which looks at stereotypes and misconceptions of groups of people from different backgrounds. Participant’s own identities are explored – discussion focuses on how similar we are regardless of our backgrounds and how it feels when our identities are affected due to stereotypes/misconceptions.

Young people are free to move around during the activities and will complete their very own ‘identity cap’ exercise. The session includes a story which will encourage young people to use their imaginations and go on a journey to understand identity deeper.
