The Young Women’s Cooking Session provides an opportunity for young women to learn culinary skills, explore their creativity in the kitchen, and develop confidence in their abilities.
The sessions funded through the Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF), aims to teach young women basic to advanced cooking techniques and recipes. They may cover a variety of culinary areas such as meal planning, food preparation, knife skills, cooking methods, and baking. The emphasis is on building practical skills that participants can utilize in their daily lives.
A young women’s cooking activity session combines practical cooking skills, nutrition education, and social interaction to empower participants and promote their overall well-being. It offers a supportive and inclusive environment where young women can learn, explore, and gain confidence in their culinary abilities while connecting with others who share their passion for food.
The session is for young women aged 11-19yrs (up to 25yrs with additional needs). Places are limited and must be booked.
