Date: Saturday 12th July 2025
Time: 12pm – 6pm
Venue: Sandwell Valley, West Bromwich, B71 4BG

If you are between the ages of 16-30, you will have the option to compete in the The National Young Traders’ Competition as part of this market. The competition encourages young people to try market trading and there is the opportunity to progress to trade at the regional finals and nationals final at Stratford upon Avon. Anyone over the age of 30 can trade at the festival but will not be eligible to participate in the competition.

Stall fees for 2025 – Once your application has been approved you will be required to pay a stall fee.
Aged 16 – 30 years: £15
Over 30 years : £20

Eligibility Criteria for Traders:

• Traders aged between 16-30 who are participating in the National Young Traders Market Competition will be covered by public liability insurance paid for by Sandwell Council, to allow them to trade.
• All other traders must maintain a valid third party and public liability insurance policy in the sum of two million pounds and provide evidence as such.
• Businesses who sell, cook, store, handle, prepare or distribute food must be registered with their Local Authority and have a Food Hygiene Rating Score of 4 or above. If your food and drink business is not yet registered, we advise you to register with your Local Authority as soon as possible to increase your chances of receiving a food hygiene certificate before the application deadline. • You will not be allowed to sell or have alcohol, tobacco or any other smoking accessories on site as this festival is tailored for children and young people.

Closing date for applications is Friday 6 June 2025. Applications may close early if we reach full capacity.
