Young People’s Warm Hubs

Sandwell’s Youth Service has launched a number of warm hubs for young people.

Young people aged 11-19 and up to 25 with additional needs can access the warm hubs at their local youth provision, during normal opening times.  The warm hubs will be safe and welcoming spaces, accessible and open regularly and facilitated by qualified and experienced youth workers and volunteers.  They will provide young people with opportunities to participate in positive activities, make new friends and seek advice and support from youth workers and be referred to more specialist services if required.

Warm hubs are available at the following locations with more to be added in the new year:

Brickhouse Youth Club – Brickhouse Community Centre, Dudhill Road, B65 8HS, open Monday & Wednesday between 6.00 – 8.00pm

Coneygre Arts Centre – Coneygre Arts Centre, Sedgley Road East, Tipton, DY4 8UH, open Monday – Thursday between 5.00 – 8.00pm

Tanhouse Youth Club – Tanhouse Community Centre, Hamstead Road, Great Barr, Birmingham, B43 5EL, open Tuesday & Thursday 6.00 – 8.00pm

Wednesbury Youth Club – Wednesbury Library, Walsall Street, Wednesbury, WS10 9EH, open Monday & Wednesday, 6.00 – 8.00pm

We also have targeted groups for young women and young people with SEND, however these are not open access and young people need to be referred.  These take place at Malthouse Stables (young women’s group), Wednesbury Museum & Art Gallery (SEND group) & Oak House Museum (young women’s group). To refer someone in to one of these groups, please email youngpeople_services@sandwell.gov.uk
