Sandwell’s Youth Service has launched a number of warm hubs for young people.
Young people aged 11-19 and up to 25 with additional needs can access the warm hubs at their local youth provision, during normal opening times. The warm hubs are safe and welcoming spaces, accessible and open regularly and facilitated by qualified and experienced Youth Workers and volunteers. They will provide young people with opportunities to participate in positive activities, make new friends and seek advice and support from Youth Workers and be referred to more specialist services if required.
Warm hubs are available at the following locations:
Rowley Youth Club – Brickhouse Community Centre, Dudhill Road, B65 8HS, open Monday and Wednesday between 6pm – 8pm
Coneygre Arts Centre – Coneygre Arts Centre, Sedgley Road East, Tipton, DY4 8UH, open Monday to Thursday between 5pm – 8pm
Lodge Road Youth Club – Lodge Road Community Centre, Lodge Road, West Bromwich, B70 8PJ, open Tuesday and Thursday between 6pm – 8pm
Tanhouse Youth Club – Tanhouse Community Centre, Hamstead Road, Great Barr, Birmingham, B43 5EL, open Tuesday and Thursday between 6pm – 8pm
Wednesbury Youth Club – Friar Park Millennium Centre, Friar Park Road, Wednesbury, WS10 0JS, open Monday and Wednesday between 6pm – 8pm
We also have targeted groups for young women and young people with SEND, however these are not open access and young people need to be referred. These take place at Malthouse Outdoor Activity Centre (Young Women’s Group and SEND Group) and Oak House Museum (Young Women’s Group). To refer someone to one of these groups, please email youngpeople_services@sandwell.gov.uk
