Think Sandwell

Sandwell Council’s Employment and Skills Team ‘Think Sandwell’ helps local people find work and training opportunities.

Think Sandwell manage Sandwell Council’s and Sandwell Schools’ Level 2 and Level 3 Apprenticeships Programme.

Whether you are starting out in your career, want a change, are looking to get back in to work, or just aren’t sure; our advisors will work with you to help you gain the skills the need to get the apprenticeship or job you want.

Nova Training

Are you looking for an alternative to schools or college?

Then get in touch with us at Nova Training! Nova we will help you get the right skills, qualifications and experience to get you where you want to be. Study programme is for anyone who has left school and is aged 16-18 or those aged 19-24 who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The programme is predominantly at level 1 but can include level 2 skills and qualifications.

PTP Training

PTP Training deliver apprenticeships and traineeships across the West Midlands, guiding learners aged 16 and up into work or further training.

Sandwell Adult & Family Learning

Sandwell Adult and Family Learning, also known as SAFL, is the adult education department of Sandwell Council. Open to those aged 19+ who live in Sandwell or the West Midlands area. They offer both day-time and evening courses and all courses are part-time. SAFL offers a wide range of courses including skills courses such as English, Maths, and ICT, First Aid as well as other interest courses such as sewing, painting and flower arranging.

Juniper Training

Our programmes support 16-24 year olds to improve their vocational, employability and life skills through the delivery of personalised training programmes, so that our customers are best placed to secure apprenticeships and employment. We offer study programmes, traineeships and apprenticeships through a range of areas such as business admin, sales, early years and many more.

The Prince’s Trust

The Prince’s Trust believes that all young people should have the opportunity to succeed and access exciting opportunities to help them achieve. We work with young people aged 11 – 30, supporting them to Live, Learn and Earn. All of our programmes are designed to give young people the skills and tools to help reach their next steps whether that’s employment, training, education or starting your own business.

Access Creative College

Access Creative College has been delivering creative education for over twenty-five years. Operating as England’s largest private training provider, the college delivers creative education at campuses in seven cities, from Bristol in the south-west to York in the north-east.

Now offering courses in Games, Media, Music and Events, the college started life as Access to Music. The decision to rebrand was taken in 2017, enabling the college to provide training for more sectors of the creative industries.

These are two virtual events that will cover topics including CV writing, application forms, virtual interviews and how young people can find and keep a job.

There will be videos, presentations and live chat with Connexions Sandwell Personal Advisers.

The first will run on Thursday 15 July and the second on Thursday 29 July.

They will run for one hour – 6pm – 7pm.
