On Friday 29 January 2021, SHAPE Your Talent showcased the talents of finalists from the last six years in order to encourage other young people to audition for this year’s event.

SHAPE Your Talent has grown immensely over the last six years since its launch in 2015 and talented young people have gone on to audition in programs including ITV’s The Voice Kids and Britain’s Got Talent.

Over the years, acts have collaborated with each other, appeared on TV adverts, taken part in BBC Proms, theatre shows, the National Orchestra as well as so many other achievements.

The showcase event included performances and interviews with previous acts and guest performers including Aston Performing Arts Academy and AV4C (Anointed Voices for Christ), a group formed from ‘Be Positive Choir’ who appeared on Britain’s Got Talent.

Councillor Joyce Underhill, cabinet member for Best Start in Life, said: “Over the past six years, SHAPE has showcased what talents young people of Sandwell have to offer in music, dance and entertainment and 2021 is no exception. I want as many young people to come forward in this year’s SHAPE Your Talent event!”

The Showcase Event is available to watch on YouTube here.
