We will travel to various Primary and Secondary Schools in Sandwell including:

Secondary Schools:

The theme of this year’s roadshow is ‘Choose Respect’, which was decided following the Anti-Bullying Alliance’s consultation with teachers and pupils concluded concluding that they wanted a theme that empowered them to do something positive and counter the harm and hurt that bullying causes.

The workshops will look at a variety of different topics including:

  • What does respect mean to me?
  • What does respect look like?
  • What does respect sound like?
  • Stereotypes & Biases
  • Appearance & Body Shaming
  • Racism
  • Ageism
  • Real life issues in the Sandwell community and wider
  • Online & Gaming
  • Cyberbullying
  • Anonymous reporting of crime on Fearless
  • Respect ‘pledge’

As well as Sandwell children and young people signing up to a pledge to ‘Choose Respect’, the SHAPE Team will also be making a pledge to continue to educate children and young people of the importance of ‘Choosing Respect’ regardless of the situation.
